Gift Giving through the Zodiac - The Colours of Sagittarius

This series of articles will feature ideas for zodiac inspired handmade gifts from members of the Trans-Canada Etsy Team. Each new zodiac month will begin with an introduction to the qualities associated with the present astrology sun sign. Throughout the rest of the month I will feature items which have those qualities and/or would be a suitable gift idea for people of that sign.

Sagittarius - The Centaur and Archer
23 November - 21 December
Archetypes - Student, Traveler, Teacher, Philosopher

Sagittarian colours are dark blue and purple, although dark greens and sometimes red can also be associated with this sign.

This mosaic message board by Studio17 would be a great gift for the Sagittarian in your life who always seems to be taking off on an impulse adventure, This is something which many Sagittarians seem to have a knack for (I live with a Sagittarian who loves to take off on his bike up a mountain at the drop of a hat). Perhaps this stunning combination of blues in this gorgeous glass mosaic design will catch their eye and remind them to leave you a little note telling you where they'll be going.

From OffTheHooks comes the perfect Sagittarian hat - perfect in colour and perfect in function because of the cozy earflaps to keep warm outdoors. Made of super-soft purple acrylic-wool blend yarn, this cute crocheted hat has pink tassles you can tie under your chin to keep you extra cozy.

These bold and eyecatching 'Nantucket' vintage lucite earrings definitely have an air of mobility about them. Wildwomanjewelry says: "A classic for summer travels on land or sea...navy and white dot vintage lucite balls will sail you into summer...Ahoy!" Lot's of appeal in colour and sensibility for a Sagittarian on the move.

This feature has been prepared for you by Morgen of Inkyspider Textile Designs and Kootsac re-usable bulk food bags.
